Founded in December 2015, Ningbo Symphony Orchestra is a public institution directly under Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Culture Radio Television and Tourism. Professor Yu Feng, president of The Central Conservatory of Music, is specially appointed as artistic director and chief conductor.

Since its establishment, with the goal of first-class in China and world-renowned, the orchestra has boldly innovated the employment mechanism and attracted more than 90 performers who graduated from famous music colleges in the world to join in.
