Jiacheng Xu is a French horn player at the Ningbo Symphony Orchestra. Xu was a protege of Zhang Chao, former principal French horn player of the Zhejiang Symphony Orchestra. In 2015, Xu was admitted to the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music with the highest grades in his cohort, where he studied under Prof. Ji Xiang (PhD holder, Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts; principal French horn player emeritus, Vogtland Philharmonic Orchestra). In school, Xu was the principal French horn player of the student symphony orchestra and the student brass orchestra. He was active in French horn music festivals, earning the recognition of many renowned players. Xu joined the Ningbo Symphony Orchestra in 2018.
