Shuang Liu is currently the Deputy Principal Harp of the Ningbo Symphony Orchestra. She entered the Central Conservatory of Music in 2005, studied under Chinese harpist and educator: Ms. Wang Mei, Mr. Wei Linlin and Ms. Wang Guan. After completing her undergraduate studies in 2009, she was awarded a full scholarship from Johns Hopkins University Peabody Conservatory of Music in the same year, studied with Ms. Ruth Inglefield. Liu Shuang graduated in 2013 with three diplomas: Master of Music/Performer/Music Education. In 2014 she was awarded a full scholarship with Jacobs School of Music in Indiana University Bloomington, studied under the world-renowned harpist Ms. Susann McDonald, and was the assistant harp teacher at the Jacobs School of Music during her study. She obtained her harp soloist degree in 2016.
