Chao Zhang is the principal trombonist at the Ningbo Symphony Orchestra. He holds a degree from China’s Central Conservatory of Music (CCM), where he studied under Prof. Zhao Ruilin. In 2009, he joined the Guiyang Symphony Orchestra as the principal trombonist, performing solo in the Guiyang Symphony Orchestra’s Season of Music in 2015. In 2017, he joined the Ningbo Symphony Orchestra, performing solo in the Orchestra’s chamber music concert in the same year. Zhang’s many honors and titles include “Ningbo’s Leading/Pioneering/Innovative Talent”, vice chairman of the Ningbo Youth Literature and Art Federation, and member of the Bass Brass Committee (China Brass Association).
